நான் ஒரு யதார்த்தவாதி. இதை நான் முதலிலேயே சொல்லிவிடவேண்டிய தேவை உள்ளது. காரணம் இப்பதிவைப் படித்து முடித்த பின்பு தெரியவரும்.

நான் பொதுவாகவே அனைத்து சமயங்களையும் சந்தேகப் பார்வையுடன் பார்ப்பவன். மேற்கத்திய சமயமான கிருத்துவம் சாத்தான் என்றவனை எதிரி எனச் சொல்கிறது. அரேபியாவில் உருவான இசுலாமிய சமயம் சைத்தான் என்றவனை எதிரியெனக் கூறுகிறது.

சாத்தான், சைத்தான் இரண்டும் ஒன்றே!

இந்த இரண்டு சொற்களுக்கும் வேர்ச்சொல் சாத்தன் என்ற சொல்லே!

யார் இந்த சாத்தன் என்ற எனது தேடல் தமிழகத்தில் தான் வந்து முடிந்தது.

தமிழகத்தின் அனைத்து கிராமங்களிலும் பரவிக்கிடக்கும் ஐயனாருக்கு சாத்தன் என்ற பெயர் தான் முதன்மைப் பெயராக உள்ளது! 

தமிழர்கள் வணங்கும் தெய்வத்தை ஏன் மேற்குலகம் எதிரி என்கிறது? அப்படி என்னதான் இந்த சாத்தன் செய்தான்? நம்மைப் பொறுத்தவரை ஐயனார்/சாத்தன்/சாஸ்தா/சாத்தையன் என்றால் ஊர் எல்லையில் இருப்பார், குல தெய்வமாக இருப்பார் தானே?

பிறகு எப்படி இரு பெரும் சமயங்கள் இச்சாத்தனை எதிரி என்கிறது?

இக்கடினமான கேள்விகளுக்கு விடை தேடித் தொடங்கியது என் பயணம். கிராமங்களில் நேரடிக் களஆய்வுகள் செய்தும், வயதில் மூத்தவர்களிடம் கேட்டுத் தெரிந்து கொண்டும் பல செய்தகளைத் தொகுத்து வைத்துள்ளேன்.

ஒரு பொதுவான செய்தியை அனைவரும் சொன்னார்கள். அது என்னவென்றால் ஐயனாருக்கு சைவப் பொங்கல் மட்டும் தான் படையல் வைக்கப்படுகிறது. இரத்தப் படையல் அறவே கிடையாது என்ற செய்தியாகும்!

கொல்லாமை என்பது முழுக்க முழுக்க சமணக் கோட்பாடாகும். ஐயனார் என்பது ஒரு சமணக் கடவுள் என்பது இதன் மூலம் உறுதியானது.

பூரணி, பொற்கலை சமேத ஐயனார் தான் இந்துக் கடவுளரின் இரண்டு பொண்டாட்டி கதைகளின் மூலம், முருகன் உட்பட.

கிருத்துவமும் இசுலாமும் சிலை வழிபாட்டை எதிர்க்கும் சமயங்கள் ஆவை. சாத்தானை/சைத்தானை ஒழிக்கிறேன் என்ற பெயரில் சிலை வழிபாடு செய்வோரை எதிர்க்கும் சமயங்கள் இவை. தமிழர்கள் வணங்கும் கடவுள் எப்படி பிறருக்கு எதிரியாக முடியும்?

இக்கேள்விக்கு விடை தேடியதில் புலப்பட்ட உண்மை யாதெனில் தமிழர்கள் ஐயனாரை மட்டும் வணங்கவில்லை, ஐயனாருக்கு அருகில் இருக்கும் காவல் தெய்வத்துக்குத் தான் பலியிட்டு வெகுசிறப்பாக படையல் வைக்கிறார்கள்.

ஐயனாருக்குப் பலி, படையல் இல்லை ஆனால் காவல் கருப்புகளுக்கு மட்டும் உண்டு. ஏன்?

சில ஊர்களில் காவல் கருப்புகளுக்கு பலியிடும் பொழுது ஐயனாரின் கண்ணைக் கட்டுவதையும் வழக்கமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளனர்!

தமிழன் சிலைவழிபாட்டாளன் இல்லவே இல்லை. நமது வழிபாடு நடுகல் வழிபாடு மட்டுமே!

சிலை வழிபாட்டையும் கொல்லாமையையும் முதன் முதலில் புகுத்தியது சமண சாத்தன் தான் என்று புலப்பட்டது.

சமணம் என்ற கருத்தியல் மிக நுட்பமாக நம் குலதெய்வ வழிபாட்டில் கை வைத்துள்ளது என்று அறிந்துகொள்ள முடிகிறது. எப்படி இது நடந்தது?

இன்று சர்வ சாதரணமாக சாய்பாபா என்ற கடவுள் இந்துக் கடவுளரோடு சேர்த்து வைத்து வழிபடப்படுகிறார். அதே போல முன்னொரு காலத்தில் சமணத் துறவிகள் நமது நடுகல் வழிபடும் இடத்துக்கு அருகாமையில் வந்து ஐயன், பூரணி, பொற்கலை ஆகிய மூன்று சிலைகளையும் அச்சிலைகளுக்கு சைவப் பொங்கல் தான் வைக்கவேண்டும் என்றும் ஒரு புதிய வழிபாட்டு முறையை புகுத்தியிருக்கிறார்கள்.

தமிழகத்துக்குள் வந்த முதல் சிலை வழிபாடு சமன சாத்தன் வழிபாடு தான். அதனால் தான் இசுலாமியர் சிலை வழிபாடு செய்வோரை சைத்தானின் பிடியில் உள்ளோர் என்று ஏசுகின்றனர். அவர்கள் அப்படிச் சொல்வதில் தவறேதும் இல்லை.

சமணர்கள் தமிழகத்தில் எவ்வாறு சிலை வழிபாட்டைப் புகுத்தினார்களோ, அதே போல மேற்குலகிலும் புகுத்த முயன்றுள்ளனர். ஆனால் அது வெற்றியடையவில்லை. 

அங்கே இருந்த மக்கள் இவர்களுக்கு எதிராகக் கிளர்ந்து எழுந்து விரட்டியுள்ளனர். சாத்தான்/சைத்தான் தான் எதிரி என்றும் தமது பிள்ளைகளுக்குக் கற்றும் கொடுத்துள்ளனர்.

ஆனால் தமிழ் நாட்டிலோ நிலைமை தலைகீழ்! சமணர்கள் சாத்தன் வழிபாடு மூலம் பலியிடுதலைத் தடை செய்ய முயன்று தோற்றுப்போனார்கள். ஆனால் அவர்கள் நிறுவிய சிலைகள் நடுகற்களின் அருகில் நிரந்தரமாக இருந்துவிட்டதால் குல தெய்வம் என்றால் சாத்தனும் காவல் கருப்பும் இரண்டும் சேர்ந்ததுதான் என்ற சிந்தனை நம் மனதில் நிரந்தரமாகத் தங்கிவிட்டது.

தமிழ் மணக்கும் நெல்லைச் சீமையில் குலதெய்வக் கோவிலுக்குச் செல்வதை சாத்தன் கோவிலுக்குச் செல்வது என்று தான் இன்றும் நாட்டார் வழக்கியலில் அழைக்கிறார்கள் என்பதே நான் மேற்கூறியதற்குச் சான்று.

உலகத்தில் உள்ள அனைவருக்கும் சாத்தன் எதிரியாக இருக்க தமிழர்களுக்கு மட்டும் எப்படி கடவுளாக இருக்க முடியும்? நிச்சயம் முடியாது!

சாத்தனின் காவல் தெய்வம் என்று அழைக்கப்படும் காவல் கருப்புகள் தான் உண்மையான காவல் தெய்வங்களே தவிர, கொல்லாமையை போதிக்கும் சமணர்கள் கொண்டுவந்த சாத்தன்/ஐயனாராக இருக்க வாய்ப்பே இல்லை.

தமிழ் மொழியின் மீது ஆணையிட்டுச் சொல்கிறேன் சாத்தன்/ஐயனார் என்பது தமிழ்க் கடவுளே அல்ல! அது ஒரு சமணத் திணிப்பு!

I am an agnostic person. I need to tell this in the first place. You'll know the reason why after read this post.

I usually perceive all religions with suspicion. Both Christianity and Islam religions claim Satan and Shaitan as their respective enemies.

Both Satan and Shaitan are the same!

The root word for these names are "Saattan" (a Tamil word given to traders, Aiyanar etc.)

My search for this Saattan finally ended up in Tamil Nadu.

The name of Saattan is the main name for Aiyanar, which spreads through all the villages of Tamilnadu!

Why must they claim a deity that worshipped by Tamils as enemy? What this Saattan actually did? For us, Aiyanar/Saattan/Sastha/Sathiyan is a deity who sits on the border of the village isn't it?

Then how are these two religions claimed Saattan as their enemy?

My journey began to find answers to these difficult questions. I've collected many information regarding this by doing some field studies in villages and enquiring many elderly people in the villages.

Everyone mentioned a common thing, that is, they only give vegetarian offering to Aiyanar and totally avoid sacrificial offering to him.

"Not killing" is a Śramaṇa philosophy. Hence, it is confirmed that Aiyanar is a Śramaṇa deity.

Poorani Pushkala Samedha Aiyanar is the root for all the two wives stories in Hindu religion, including Lord Murugan.

Christianity and Islam are the religions that oppose idol worship. They oppose whoever worship idols in the name of abolishing Satan/Shaitan. How could a deity worshipped by Tamils be enemy to other people?

The answer for this question is, Tamils not only worship Aiyanar, they also did worship Karuppu Sami near the Aiyanar idol by giving him sacrificial offerings.

Why there is no sacrificial offering to Aiyanar, but only for Karuppu Sami?

In some villages people will close the eyes of Aiyanar before giving sacrificial offering to Karuppu Sami.

Tamils are not idol worshippers at all, ours is only Hero stone worship!

It is clear that Śramaṇa people are the one to introduce idol worship and not killing philosophy into Tamil people's culture.

Śramaṇa philosophies have been applied into our ancestor worship very technically. How this happened?

Nowadays, we could see how easily Sai Baba is worshipped together with other Hindu gods as one. The same way followed by the Śramaṇa people, by placing the three idols (Poorani, Pushkala and Aiyanar) beside our Hero stone worshipping place and put restrictions to avoid sacrificial offerings there.

The first idol worship came into Tamils land is the idol worship of Śramaṇa Saattan or Aiyanar. That's why the Muslims saying those who worship idol are in the grasp of Shaitan. Actually there's nothing wrong in what they are saying.

The Śramaṇas tried to impose idol worship in the West just like how they did here, but their attempt has failed.

The people there were rise up together and chased them away. They also has taught to their next generations that Satan/Shaitan is the enemy.

But in Tamil Nadu the situation is the other way round. They failed in their attempt to abolish our practice of giving sacrificial offering by placing Aiyanar idol beside our Hero stones. But, the idols which they installed beside Hero stones were remained there till now, which made us think that Aiyanar/Saattan is one of our ancestry deity too.

Even now, the people around Tirunelveli used to call their family deity temple as Saattan temple. This is enough to prove my statement above.

How can the enemy for everyone around the world be our deity? Definitely can not!

The Karuppu Sami which is said to be the guard of Saattan/Aiyanar is our real tutelary deity, not the idol that Śramaṇas imposed which only accepts vegetarian offering.

I swear on my Tamil language that Saattan/Aiyanar is not our deities at all. It's an imposition by the Śramaṇas.
